WE ARE SUSTAINABLE
At Henny and Joe's we are determined to operate as an environmentally responsible business. From the sourcing of spices, through to the bottles and boxes we use, everything we do has sustainability and the environment at the forefront.
Through the friendships that Henny and Joe's have created with businesses that we supply, a great number of our empty bottles are returned to us and re-used. We ensure that our packing materials are made from nothing but recycled cardboard, and better still, our creative packaging boffins have designed it so as little cardboard as possible is used, whilst still ensuring that our lovely Chai bottles reach you safely.
We also ensure that our business creates little waste material. Over the last few years, we’ve worked with London-based company Up Circle. They take our used spices, which still have so much more to give, and turn them into soap bars and candles. Check out their amazing work here www.upcirclebeauty.com/
At Henny and Joe’s all of our local deliveries are done on our electric cargo bike. Over a year this has saved 3 metric tons of C02. Not to mention it’s good for the legs!
And arguably most importantly of all, we choose to work closely with co-operatives when sourcing our spices and ingredients. This means that everything is traceable and no one is exploited. By only sourcing the highest quality, and the highest welfare, we create a superior Masala Chai which is reflected in the rounded taste and aroma of Henny and Joe’s.
